Death in Near-Death Accident

  PARIS- The Angel of Death was involved in a head-on collision between two motorcycles yesterday. Mr. Death was driving along Rue De Bouffe along the famed Left Bank of the Seine, when another motorcyclist, driving on the wrong side of the road, hit Mr. Death head-on. Mr. Death walked away unscathed; the other motorcyclist suffered a massive head wound and died.

"Sacre-bleu!" commented Mr. Death, minutes later. "Les touristes! Driveeng zeir moteurceecles and so on! Eet ees a wunder wee Francais are not rude and condeesceendeeng all zee time! Puh!" When Mr. Death learned of the other driver's death, he noted, "I suppoze eet was heez time."

Mr. Death was later taken to a hospital for examination. Doctors confirmed that aside from his cigarette-induced lung cancer and perpetual liver diseases, Mr. Death as in fine condition.

"Eet wuz a close call, let mee tell you," said Mr. Death. "I do not know how I would have maneeged eef I had to leed myself to zee grave. Who eez een charge if I die? Zere eez no vice-Death, or marjoreetee wheep of Death! Zere is only moi! Vive La Mort!"

Before leaving the hospital, Mr. Death, always the caring celebrity, visited some sick children in the pediatrics wing.
