Area High School Stupidly Blocks Humorous Website

Nordar, OR - For unknown and unspecified reasons, computers at local Nordar High School have begun blocking access to Finelineonline.com, an absolutely harmless humor website. Students were shocked recently to discover that their regular checks of the site were no longer allowed.

“I feel violated, frankly,” said one student. “Mondays are nothing if not excruciating, and now they take away a source of amusement that helped ease the pain. We thought nothing could top the displeasure of the graduation projects, but this takes the cake, and eats it, too. I’m a beast – but now a morose, deeply saddened beast.”

The founders of The Fine Line Online, who are also alumni of Nordar High, were confused and annoyed by the new blocking policy. “Thanks a lot, Nordar administration,” commented one editor. “For an entire year we gave you exactly the same humor in print form, minus a few vulgarities, and complain you did not. By stabbing us in the back, you have declared yourselves the enemy: this means COMEDY!”

Since the Fine Line Online can no longer be viewed at the high school, the staff of the web site felt it necessary to comment about the ridiculous impotence of the high school’s blocking software, the general bumbling-about of much of the administration, and especially about the nauseating décor put up this year in the school’s Writing Center.

“There were days when the room was filled with cartoons and silly pictures and messages and even a stuffed owl. Now, there is nothing but the dulling odor of sterility and despair. For your own sakes, everybody get to college as soon as you can!”
