Greenpeace Invades Luxembourg

Luxembourg City, Luxembourg- The tiny European country of Luxembourg was invaded and conquered by the militant arm of the environmental advocacy organization Greenpeace yesterday.

“The Luxembourg government was refusing to comply with Greenpeace standards on genetically modified crops and animal testing, so we felt we had to take action,” said Greenpeace executive director Thilo Bode. “Plus Luxembourg was pretty much the only country we had any chance of actually taking over.”

The invasion reportedly happened on the lunch break of the eight members of the Luxembourg Army. Four men were wounded on the Luxembourg side, one critically, with no casualties reported for the Greenpeace forces, who call themselves “the Rainbow Warriors.”

“We’re also happy to report that no animals were harmed in the process,” said Mr. Bode, “and we even picked up the spent bullet casings. Remember, kids, littering is bad!”

The ousted Luxembourgian government, which has fled to France, has requested international aid to drive out the Greenpeace invaders, but no official plans have been made yet.

The United Nations has made an official statement on the situation: “Normally we’d be happy to help you guys out, you know, if some other country invaded you. But Greenpeace? I mean, come on.”

The official letter of reply from NATO reportedly read, “Hahahahahahahahaha!”
